Twisted 80’s
Twisted 80’s was a three-month group project in which I assumed the role of producer two weeks after the project began, following the departure of the original producer. In this role, I was responsible for managing and organizing the team's tasks while also contributing to the design and development process.
My design responsibilities included creating level layouts on paper, implementing these designs in Unity using the built-in tilemap system, and rebalancing the levels as needed. In addition to my role as a producer and level designer, I contributed to the art side of the project to support our sole artist. Specifically, I created 2D sprites for the tiling backgrounds in levels 1 and 2, diamond and circuit collectables, and the arcade machines in the level selector.
While implementing the tiled background in the second level, I had to create a script that would move the background to the side and remove it when it got out of the view of the camera, thus creating the illusion of movement without the need to move the train and player on top of it.
Feel free to give the game a shot here
